Murali Ramakrishnan is one of Australia’s senior and versatile Indian classical music flautists (Venu/Bansuri) . His versatility stem from his disciplined flute training in various music styles .  Murali’s meditative flute music touches the soul of the listeners.

Murali  has given solo performances both in Australia and abroad. He has also accompanied various classical dance performances including Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Mohiniattam.  Murali has also collaborated with various multi-cultural musicians to curate interesting, vibrant performances.

Murali has performed in  Woodford Folk festival, Shruthi Adelaide, Kalamela,  Adelaide Mela, OziAsia, ISKCON temples, Rath Yatra, Various City Councils, Bengali Association, CMC Melbourne, Birmingham Temple (UK),  ICTP Trieste (Italy), Pt Krishnanand Music Circle, Swaramohini, Brisbane Music Circle and SangeethMela.

Murali was invited to perform before terminally ill patients at Flinders hospital which was one of his memorable experiences.

In addition to performing, Murali had also composed light music scores for Doordarshan (National Indian TV channel). He has also performed in Indian Radio Channel at Adelaide.

Murali has created a course to introduce indian raga based improvisation techniques for Jazz musicians. This course is rated one of the top-10 music improvisation courses in Udemy
